Removal of the original Obsession eyebolts is step one...

"Use a claw hammer.  Put a piece of wood on the handle to prevent denting it
and pull hard."
DAVE K

I created a set of four "C" brackets, to allow quick, convenient disconnection of the wheelbarrow handles. The clamps are made from large thick steel "L" brackets from home depot. One "L" bracket makes 2 "C" brackets. I flattened the "L" brackets with a  hammer...cut them in half with a scroll saw. Then, I bent them to the proper dimensions with the hammer and a vise (using my eye and a wheelbarrow handle for reference). This process takes a little time to get the metal to match the shape of the wheelbarrow handles. Be patient...and wear eye protection! Once all 4 "C" brackets are of the proper size and shape, I ground all their edges smooth with a grinding wheel. Now the holes need to be drilled. A single 3/8's drill bit is needed, and a drill press really helps! First we'll drill the 4 sets of holes in each wheelbarrow handle. For the 3/8" pin holes you'll need to drill a hole at a right angle to each original wheelbarrow hole. Then drill each 3/8" eyebolt hole 3.5" ahead of the pin holes. See image below:

Now we must drill the holes in the "C" brackets. Drill the main (center of the "C") mounting hole first. Then insert one of the 3/8"x1.50" bolts into the hole you just drilled (the hole that mounts to the obsession). With the bolt in place, slide the "C" bracket on to the wheelbarrow handle, lining the center of the bracket up with the 3/8" pin hole. Make a mark on the "C" bracket at the point where it is centered above the pin hole. Drill and repeat for all 4 "C" brackets. Mount the brackets to the obsession using a small piece of felt against the wood...then two 3/8" washers...then the bracket. Tighten. Check for fit, and to be sure all the pins fit properly. Remove the components and make all final adjustments, including widening any of the holes as needed to allow the pins to fit easier. Then using a Dremel tool, remove any remaining burrs on the metal. Paint with several coats of your favorite spray paint, and enjoy!
